Team building cookery course

This team building cooking lesson, inspired by the famous TV show "MasterChef", is ideal for strengthening team cohesion. The programme includes the preparation of a dish, marking and tasting.

During this cooking class, the participants will have to make the starter, the main course and the dessert in the form of a challenge. The participants will be divided into 3 groups: one group for the starters, another for the main course and the last group for the dessert.

 

Course of the MasterChef-style cooking challenge

Each group will have 10 minutes in the workshop to look at the ingredients provided and define together the outline of the recipe. Once the recipe has been chosen, the participants will have 10 minutes to list the ingredients they will need and give the recipe a title. Before starting the recipe, they will have to validate the recipe with the chef, who will give them the green light. The chef will guide them and validate the choices with them to obtain the best possible result. (The group that will be given the dessert will be able to obtain the necessary proportions and weights). Each group will have 1h15 to cook the recipe.

In the evening, an aperitif will be served where all participants will meet to take a break between the cooking workshop and the tasting.

Each group will prepare the plate for the whole group and will have to present their dish to the other participants. The meal will take place at the table d'hôtes for the tasting of the starter, main course and dessert. A scoring sheet will be provided to mark the 3 teams on the basis of taste, creativity and presentation. The chef will also mark the participants on the criteria of organisation and cleanliness. The scores will be tallied and the result given at the end of the tasting.

Example of dishes made by the participants:

Group 1: "Big-bang marinated prawns on a mishmash of crunchy, tangy vegetables".
Group 2 : "Cute corolla, Andean tuile and vegetable casserole".
Group 3: "Thin nectarine tart, peach sorbet and tangy coulis".
